Volcano fun

Volcano eruption! The children in StartBright Deansrath have been researching volcanoes over the last few weeks and finally the day came to make their volcano erupt. The excitement and sheer enjoyment of the children was contagious. Hands on science experiments such as this gives children a whole new understanding of theorizing, hypothesizing and evaluating. It is all done in the moment as they contemplate what they think will happen, the process they need to take and then finally what happened after. This develops the critical thinking skills enhancing the synapses in their prefrontal cortex. They are literally strengthening their brains through play.
