Hanger

At StartBright we are constantly trying to explore and offer children new materials and resources to experiment with. Many of our educators have engaged with Loose Parts webinars over the last few weeks and can see the benefits and opportunities loose parts offers children in their play. Being open ended, loose parts can take on many roles and stretch curiosity to many lengths. Children are often the real experts as their creativity reaches far beyond ours to new and daring heights. Take for example this experience of working with hangers. The children are building from the top down, exploring and unpacking physics, mathematics, engineering and architecture. They also are developing communication skills, creativity, collaboration and critical thinking which are also known as the 4Cs in the Essential 21st Century Skills.
