Express feeling and emotions

Something so simple can really offer children a wonderful opportunity to express their feelings and emotions. It opens up the lines of communication and allows us as educators to help the children articulate and understand their feelings more. By doing this the children can see that their whole self is respected and valued and that their voice is truly listened to. This helps us form trusting and reciprocal relationships with each, individual child and for each of them in turn to feel secure, safe and happy while at StartBright. It transforms the question 'How are you today?' to something much more meaningful.
