Children's day

World Children’s Day was first established in 1954 as Universal Children's Day and is celebrated on 20th November each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children's welfare. It also celebrates the Declaration and the Convention on children's rights.

At StartBright the UNCRC underpins our curriculum and pedagogy as we truly believe that children are active citizens. Our child emergent curriculum allows children the opportunity to investigate their environment and space freely, express their opinions and ideas in a respectful environment and be active, involved participants in their own learning journey.

Our diverse learning spaces enhances children's sense of belonging and identity, encapsulating their culture, traditions and beliefs. This allows us and the children to learn from each other, offering awareness to the larger world and customs.
